About Anastasia
Anastasia White is a proud biracial performer from Charlotte, NC, based in NYC. Growing up in a mixed-culture household exposed Anastasia to the exciting world of music at an early age. Her grandfather was a preacher, so church hymns were many of the first songs she ever learned. As she grew up, she would listen to R&B in the car with her dad and 80s top 40 with her mom. This love of expansive genres also extended to dance. While she trained in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, and modern for many years, she has always loved movement and quickly picks up any new style thrown her way. This love of the arts has led her to work with many incredible people throughout her career, thus far, and during her time pursuing her BFA in Musical Theatre Performance at the University of Oklahoma.
In her free time, you can find her choreographing or writing original material. She also loves Bo Burnham specials (Make Happy is her fav!), and YouTube video essays about obscure theme park history. On top of being a triple-threat performer, Anastasia is a gifted dance teacher and mentor who loves helping her students reach their full potential.
As a daughter of two social workers, she’s drawn to projects that aim to inform, cause change, and leave the audience thinking. Anastasia hopes to leave the world a little brighter than it was before.
